Herdsires

There are many different criteria to consider when selecting a herdsire for your female.  It’s based on fleece style, conformation, bloodlines and color of both the male & female.  If you know what you want, that’s great.  If you need a little guidance, we can help you select the herdsire that is the perfect match for your females.  We’ve learn from the best and improved our own herd by “leaps and bounds”!  We’ll help you sort through the myths and mistakes to make UP scale breeding decisions and get the results you need to improve your herd.

 

With our herdsire leasing program through Magical Farms and our 2 Friends 2 Farms Program, we are able to offer our customers a diversification of colors and fleece styles to compliment a wide variety of females and breeding programs.  We’ll help you get the results you want!

The Selection Process

Making Marketable Crias

We won’t surprise you with extra charges.  Our breeding contract is simple.  Our breeding fees include FREE BOARDING while your female in the breeding program until she is confirmed pregnant by either ultra sound or progesterone test at 45 days.  Our fee INCLUDES feed, and other routine care.  Extra, unrelated veterinary bills are not included and you will be consulted that situation should arise.  All females entering our breeding program need to have a negative BVD/PCR and SN test result, a negative fecal and a recent lepto vaccination.

We provide you with not only outstanding genetic lines and our education on the selection process, we also provide you with marketing power.  With each breeding, you will receive the marketing material you need to effectively market your crias.

This new program is designed to help small farms compete.  It allows you to select the high quality herdsires you need to improve your herd.  BUT we’ve added something unique; if you get a boy, you can re-breed that female to any herdsire standing at our farm (all herdsires owned and leased included) for the discounted rate of only $500.  This allows small farms to breed up their females and compete in today’s competitive market.
