April took first place in her class at Alpacas of the Ozarks and went on to compete for the color championship.  Sharon Loner was the judge, and she commented that April had the best fleece she had seen in the show and she hoped that I would continue to show her!  April won the color championship in the white class at only 8 months of age, a feat that is rarely done.

She had very still competition at the Royal Alpaca Challenge.  The judge, Amanda Vandenbosh had a difficult time selecting her 1st place winner and finally placing a slightly older juvenile in first.  April took a proud 2nd.

Romy has done very well in his show career.  He took a 1st place in Fleece at the Mid America Show in 2008.  In the 2 and over at the Royal Alpaca Challenge, he placed 2nd under Tim Lavin and first place under Sharon Loner at the Alpacas in the Ozarks show in 2009.  He also placed 3rd (out of 15) at the very competitive A.B.R. Fleece show in 2009.

Romero

Za began her show career at the Royal Alpaca Challenge in 2009 placing 4th in a very competitive fawn class under Amanda Vandenbosh.   She took 1st place at the Alpacas in the Ozarks and Sharon Loner referred to her as her soft pillow! She had to compete with the lights in the color championship class, with the championship going to a stunning beige yearling.  We think Za will continue to do well in her dark fawn classes.

Pablo

Pablo also began his show career at the Royal Alpaca Challenge in 2009 taking 2nd in his class of grey juveniles.  Judge Amanda Vandenbosh smiled when she opened his fleece and said that she would love to spin his fleece.  I agree!  Greys have become such a competitive color class that we’re very proud of his placement.  He continued to place 2nd at the Alpacas in the Ozarks under Sharon Loner who also commented on his soft hand with beautiful crimp style.
