This weekend White River Alpacas, LLC hosted their 1st Annual Christmas in the Country and Alpaca Extravaganza. It was a weekend of full of SHOW & TELL. With the economy weak, and fears of unemployment and falling investments, many people are turning to alpacas. This weekend people came from three states to learn about the business of raising alpacas or as an investment alternative. Topics discussed were · Why Purchase Alpacas in December · Creating Wealth with Alpacas · How to Select the Alpaca that’s right for you Although many people came to shop as well as learn about alpacas, it was the alpacas themselves that stole the show. We were very happy with the turn out for our 1st event. The tent was warm, and the greenery was festive., but the big attraction were the crias (babies). At only four days old, “Curly” (who really needs a REAL name) stole the show. Alpacas are a natural draw—one look at their eyes, and there’s no looking back. One touch of their soft, warm fiber and you’re hooked. There’s nothing else like it. It’s true pleasure, through and through. Sunday morning the local TV station, KOLR / KFSX (FOX) came out to see what the “Hummm” was about. We’ve had a big demand to put our products on the internet. We’re trying, but with our One-of-a-Kind creations, it’s proving to be a challenge. So stick with us and keep checking back.
